Meet Mayday, The Studio Dog

January 1st, 2007

Mayday This is Mayday, she's a thrill seeking, neckerchief sporting, master of the high-five, all around rockin' studio dog. There are many adventures in the life of Mayday, from survivin' in the wild to struttin' the city streets, she has traveled far and wide to save the world (from evil squirrels). I thought it only fair to take this opportunity to show her off a bit.

Mayday was adopted by my late father from an animal rescue group in Long Island around August of 1999. Legend has it that she and her litter, were rescued from a public park in New York during a cold winter. From then on she was my fathers loyal sidekick, or better yet, first mate. See my father had a great sense of humor and love for the sea, and thus named Mayday after the french word/term that boat captains scream when they need help. Those who get it, crack-up every time i call out her name. She spent her time with him, in the hamptons, chasing seagulls on the beach, taking rides in his Jeep, making her daily rounds, and watching tv.

After my father passed, Mayday joined the studio in Brooklyn in January of 2006. She resides here keeping me company, entertaining, building her fan-base, and of corse, lending her doggy wisdom to each and every project we work on.
