The redesign of Canada's century old newsweekly magazine involved a look into the heart of Canadian history. I redesigned their latest nameplate with Paul Sahre, to include Canada's national icon, the maple leaf, acting as a graphic apostrophe that graphically changes issue to issue both in it's color and it's form.

A final title was chosen and used in the magazine's masthead, changing from week to week.

A page identifier was implemented to correspond with the iconic apostro-leaf detail, along the edge of the magazines interior pages.

A lead-in section was designed to allow read- ers access more interior content besides the cover story, without getting lost on the shelf.
